Joints are formed at the confluence of two or more bones. Various kinds of joints allow for varying degrees of movement. Various joints, such as the skull, is a joint fixed. Joints are semi-moving, as in the spine, providing stability and flexibility. Most of the joints, the synovial joints, move freely. The major types of synovial joints, as well as field-motion, are as follows: Pivot Joint, Joint Bullets, saddle joints, Elipsoid joints, planar joints and hinge joints.
